We would like to introduce a bridge prevention project at a certain synthetic resin manufacturer. "There are many types of film crushed products, and bridging occurs depending on the type." As a countermeasure, we received a request to first conduct sufficient testing of the blow disk. (1) 4 blow disks / (2) 8 mini blow disks / (3) 16 mini blow disks, and we conducted tests in three variations. We concluded that (3) is universally effective for all materials. This is a case from a customer who installed a knocker because PET bottle crushed flakes were not falling from the hopper. The customer consulted us, stating that the hopper's incline was gentle at 40-50°, and the knocker was not effective. They requested to check both the Brodisk and Brodisk Mini, and we sent both (loaning the actual products). As a result, two Brodisks were installed. This is an inquiry we received from a repeat customer regarding bridging issues with film grinding products. Film grinding products can be troublesome, and since we were unable to see a sample this time, we suggested considering four Brodie disks (BD-15), which are somewhat over-spec for an 800mm hopper, along with a controller (with four built-in solenoid valves). Ultimately, they decided to use three Brodie disks and a controller (with one built-in solenoid valve), which seemed to carry some risk, but it worked out well. From the perspective of preventing bridging, a larger discharge diameter is always better. They consulted us early on because the target material was bridging inside the hopper during mass production trials, and they wanted to resolve this issue quickly. Considering the user's thoughts, we installed four Brody Disk Minis. The price difference between using two Brody Disk Minis with a controller and using four Brody Disk Minis with a controller is not significant. Given the potential for bridging with other materials that may have poor flow in the future, they decided it would be best to ensure a thorough solution from the start. The fluidity is not particularly bad, but this is a case study for bridging and residual measures caused by the hopper's steep incline. The subject material is a certain compound and the ground product after spray drying. A total of 8 blow disks are installed, with 2 on each side. On one side, the lower row is positioned centrally to the left and right near the discharge area, while the upper row is placed close to the corners (R surfaces).
